These ventilated dishes are ideal for aerobic cultures. For anaerobic cultures, the dishes can be used without the lid or with a modified sealing method for a completely air-tight seal.

Beyond standard lab applications, these versatile Petri dishes offer a wide range of uses, including:

The dishes are chemically resistant to a wide array of substances, including oils, alcohols, bases, fats, salts, and various acids (boric, citric, formic, hydrofluoric, lactic, oxalic, salicylic, tartaric), hydrogen peroxide, phenol, potassium permanganate, triethylene glycol, tripropylene glycol, and urea. They have a density of 1.05 g/cm² and a temperature resistance range of -10°C to +70°C (maximum recommended temperature for molten agar is +55°C). Water surface absorption is <0.05%.
