Name:
Sertazole suppositories.vag.300mg in cell.pack No. 1×1
Description:
Suppositories are egg-shaped, white. The presence of a funnel-shaped recess is allowed. The main active ingredient Sertaconazole Release form Vaginal suppositories Dosage 300 mg Indications for use Local treatment of vaginal candidiasis. In the absence of characteristic clinical signs, a positive microbiological conclusion is not in itself an indication for initiation of treatment. Dosage and administration Assign once. A vaginal suppository is inserted deep into the vagina at bedtime. If clinical symptoms persist, it is possible to re-use the drug after 7 days. Practical guidance: Before using the drug, it is necessary to wash the external genitalia using soap with a neutral pH. It is recommended to exclude factors that may contribute to the persistence of the infection (it is recommended to use cotton underwear instead of synthetic, avoid intensive washing of the vagina, etc.). It is advisable to additionally use an antifungal cream on the vulva and perianal area. Parallel treatment of the sexual partner should be considered individually in each case. Menstruation is not a contraindication to the use of suppositories. Use during pregnancy and lactation There are no sufficient data on the use of sertaconazole during pregnancy and lactation. Given the way the drug is used (once), as well as the lack of systemic absorption, the use of Sertazol during pregnancy and lactation is possible if the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the possible risk to the fetus or child. The ability to influence the reaction rate when driving vehicles or working with other mechanisms The use of Sertazole does not affect the ability to perform potentially hazardous activities that require a high concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions (including driving vehicles). Precautions When confirming the diagnosis of candidiasis, it is important to identify and eliminate household and hygiene factors that contribute to the development and persistence of the infection. Thus, in order to avoid relapses, the elimination of the pathogen and the establishment of the aforementioned household and hygiene factors are necessary. If necessary, other infections associated with candidiasis should be treated. Treatment should be discontinued in case of local intolerance or allergy. Patients should be advised not to use acidic pH soaps. Interaction with other drugs Simultaneous use with local contraceptives can lead to a weakening of the spermicidal action of the latter. Contraindications Hypersensitivity to the active substance, excipients or any antifungal compound of the imidazole group. Parallel use of a latex condom or a vaginal diaphragm. Age up to 14 years. One suppository contains: active substance: sertaconazole nitrate 300 mg; excipients: colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide, solid fat. Overdose Not established. Side effect Immune system disorders: Rare: allergic reactions.
