Secusept Aktiv Disinfectant – 1.5 kg
Purpose:
Secusept Aktiv is a highly effective disinfectant and cleaning agent designed for comprehensive disinfection and pre-sterilization cleaning of a wide range of medical devices. Its versatility makes it ideal for:
- Disinfection and Pre-sterilization Cleaning: Medical instruments (surgical, dental), rigid and flexible endoscopes, and their accessories made from various materials including plastics, rubber, glass, and corrosion-resistant metals. This can be achieved through manual methods or automated ultrasonic cleaning (e.g., in “Kristall-5” and “UZV-10/150-TN-‘RELTEK'” units).
- Pre-sterilization Cleaning (without disinfection): For manual or ultrasonic cleaning of medical instruments and endoscopes to prepare them for sterilization.
- Endoscope Pre-cleaning and High-Level Disinfection (HLD): Specifically formulated for preliminary cleaning of endoscopes and their accessories, as well as for final cleaning before HLD.
- Sterilization: Effective for sterilizing medical devices, including surgical and dental instruments (excluding burs), rigid and flexible endoscopes, and their accessories.
Application Sphere:
Secusept Aktiv is intended for use in healthcare facilities of all types, including hospitals, clinics, dental practices, and diagnostic centers.
Composition:
This powerful disinfectant contains:
- Active Ingredient: Sodium percarbonate monohydrate (50%)
- Enhancers: Tetraacetylethylenediamine (TAED) (25%)
- Inert Components: Other inactive ingredients.
Appearance:
A white, granular powder.
pH:
The pH of a 2% solution ranges from 7.4 to 8.4.
Microbiological Efficacy:
Secusept Aktiv demonstrates broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity against:
- Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria (including Mycobacterium tuberculosis)
- Viruses (tested against Poliovirus type 1)
- Fungi of the genus Candida
- Possesses sporicidal action.
Key Properties:
- Detergent Properties: Effectively cleans and removes organic debris.
- Material Compatibility: Safe for use on a wide array of medical device materials, including heat-sensitive (thermolabile) plastics such as polycarbonate, polymethylene, polypropylene, polyamide, polyvinyl chloride, and polystyrene. It does not corrode or damage these materials.
- Non-Fixing: Does not fix organic contaminants onto the treated surfaces, ensuring thorough cleaning.
- Corrosion Note: Avoid contact with unplated copper and brass, and steel with poor corrosion resistance.
Usage Instructions:
- Solution Preparation: Prepare working solutions in plastic, enameled (undamaged), glass, or metal containers. Avoid contact with unplated copper and brass. Dissolve the required amount of Secusept Aktiv in drinking water at a temperature of +22-24°C with thorough stirring.
- Manual Disinfection/Cleaning/Sterilization: Fully immerse items in the solution, ensuring all lumens and cavities are filled and air bubbles are eliminated. Disassemble instruments with detachable parts. Open hinged instruments before immersion. Ensure the solution layer is at least 1 cm above the items.
- Ultrasonic Cleaning: Place instruments in the ultrasonic unit basket in a single or double layer, allowing for complete solution penetration. Small dental instruments (burs, drills) should be placed in a single layer in a Petri dish filled with the solution.
- Solution Reuse:
- Manual processing: Solutions can be reused within their shelf life as long as their appearance has not changed.
- Automated processing: Solutions are for single use.
Shelf Life:
- Product: 2 years
- Ready-to-use solutions: 24 hours
Storage Conditions:
Store in the original, tightly closed manufacturer’s packaging at temperatures between 0°C and +25°C in a dark, dry place, protected from direct sunlight.
