This clear, bluish liquid possesses a pleasant, characteristic scent and demonstrates broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria (excluding Mycobacterium tuberculosis), Candida fungi, and Hepatitis B and C viruses. Prepared by diluting with potable water (using the Aspiromatic system for optimal results), the solution requires a 30-minute (or overnight) contact time for complete disinfection. The solution is easy to use, requiring a 1.5-liter flush through suction systems and a 0.5-liter fill for cuspidors. After disinfection, rinse thoroughly with potable water. Shelf life is 3 years unopened, 3 months after opening, and working solutions remain effective for 1 month.
