Raspberry Leaves 50g – Horst Brand
Enhanced Text
Raspberry leaves boast a rich biochemical composition, rivaling even the berries themselves in their nutritional value. They are packed with flavonoids, ascorbic acid (Vitamin C), salicylic acid, various organic acids, and essential minerals.
Traditionally used to alleviate respiratory ailments, raspberry leaves offer valuable therapeutic benefits. Their diaphoretic (sweat-inducing) and antipyretic (fever-reducing) properties help combat symptoms of colds and flu. Furthermore, they possess anti-inflammatory and expectorant effects, soothing irritated throats and easing congestion. A warm raspberry leaf tea serves as an excellent preventative measure during cold and flu season; however, due to its diaphoretic action, it’s best avoided immediately before venturing into cold weather. Gargle with raspberry leaf infusion to soothe sore throats, reduce irritation, and combat harmful bacteria.
Beyond respiratory support, raspberry leaves exhibit hemostatic (blood-clotting) properties, making them beneficial for conditions involving bleeding or hemorrhage. In the digestive system, they act as an astringent, effectively eliminating the byproducts of putrefaction, relieving flatulence, and reducing colic.
Suggested Use
Steep 2 tablespoons of dried raspberry leaves in 1 cup of boiling water. Allow to steep for one hour, strain, and top up with boiled water to restore the original volume. Consume 0.5 cup three times daily, before meals.
Precautions
Not recommended for use during pregnancy before the 36th week, individuals with constipation, or those with known allergies to raspberry leaves. This product is not a medicine and should not replace medical advice.
