Indications:

• Treatment of vital pulpitis in temporary and permanent teeth with incomplete root formation.
• Management of acute focal and chronic fibropulpitis while preserving viable root pulp.
• Pulpotomy of infected deciduous molars.
• Pulpitis treatment in permanent teeth prior to prosthetic procedures.
• Treatment of pulpitis following vital pulp amputation in permanent teeth with malposition (e.g., buccal inclination) or complex canal anatomy.

Composition and Properties:

Powder:

Contains polyoxymethylene (antiseptic, albumin coagulant for partial pulp devitalization), iodoform (continuous antibacterial action), zinc oxide, and a radiopaque additive.

Liquid:

Contains eugenol (analgesic, antiseptic, soothing), formaldehyde (microbicidal, microbistatic, broad-spectrum sterilizing agent), phenol (bactericidal, bacteriostatic, mummifying, sterilizing residual pulp – particularly useful in pulpotomy of infected deciduous molars), and dexamethasone (0.13%) – a fluorinated glucocorticosteroid providing potent anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic effects, reducing post-operative pain.

Pulpodent's unique formulation ensures that only the coronal portion of the pulp directly contacting the paste undergoes mummification. The apical portion remains viable, facilitating root development in permanent teeth with incomplete roots. In multi-rooted teeth with complex canal morphology, Pulpodent provides effective antiseptic action on the pulp stump while maintaining viability and hermetic seal.
