The ORLIMAN TP-2102DM / TP-2102IM ankle foot orthosis provides support for individuals experiencing foot drop and related conditions. It’s ideal for managing various neurological issues without requiring the use of shoes.

Indications:

• Foot drop syndrome
• Insufficient dorsiflexion
• Hemiplegia due to stroke
• Flaccid paralysis
• Sciatic and peroneal nerve damage

Important Note: This orthosis is NOT suitable for patients with spastic paralysis or varus/valgus deformities.

Mechanism of Action:

• Passively limits plantar flexion during gait.
• Provides support to the foot and toes, particularly during the stance phase.
• The unique rear design allows for slight foot eversion when weight is applied to the affected limb.
• Permits slight plantar flexion during the swing phase.
• During weight transfer, the thermoplastics act as a spring, cushioning and supporting the foot in a neutral position. This prevents tripping and promotes a natural gait.
• The rigid sole extends to the toes to minimize the effects of toe flexion from spasticity.
