Pour in hot water or milk at a ratio of 150-200ml of liquid per 100g of mix. Stir well and let stand for a few minutes to allow the mixture to absorb the liquid. After the mixture has absorbed the liquid, stir again and form the cutlets using traditional methods, breading them in breadcrumbs, flour, or bran. For best results, keep the cutlets 1-1.5cm thick (approximately 1 heaped tablespoon per cutlet). Fry in a well-heated pan with plenty of oil until golden brown on both sides. Vegetable cutlets absorb oil readily, so using more oil than usual is recommended.
