Japanese Dioscorea (Dioscorea japonica), a potent medicinal plant native to the Far East, particularly the Primorsky Krai and Khabarovsk Krai regions of Russia, has a long history of use in traditional medicine. This herbal blend, featuring 50g of carefully harvested and dried Dioscorea japonica root, offers a convenient way to harness its therapeutic properties. Growing in broadleaf forests, clearings, and firebreaks, its rhizome is rich in steroidal saponins, notably dioscin – a precursor to the hormones progesterone and cortisone.
