The Freik B-803 #2 Spica Cast is a specialized orthopedic device designed to treat hip dysplasia in infants aged 1 to 9 months. This adjustable brace ensures comfortable and effective hip abduction, promoting the healthy development of the hip joint. Available in size #2 (18-20 cm), it's meticulously crafted for optimal support and comfort.

Key Features:

• Secure Hip Abduction: Maintains the hips in a flexed and abducted position (approximately 90 degrees), crucial for proper hip socket formation.
• Adjustable Design: The non-fixed size allows for a 1-2 cm width adjustment, accommodating your child's growth.
• Gentle Comfort: Soft shoulder straps prevent chafing and ensure comfortable wear.
• Breathable Fabric: Made with 88% cotton, 7% polypropylene, and 5% polyester for breathability and gentle support. The filling is made of polyethylene foam (PPE).

Instructions for Use:

1. Sizing: Measure the distance between the popliteal creases (behind the knees) with the hips abducted. Your doctor will determine the appropriate size.
2. Application: Place the brace over cotton clothing and/or a diaper. Center the perineum on the base of the brace, ensuring legs are positioned along the brace sides.
3. Fastening: Secure the front straps, adjusting the length as needed.
4. Initial Adjustment: Some infants may be initially restless. Gentle massage, warm compresses, calming baths, or a pacifier may help.
5. Duration: The duration and frequency of use are determined by your child's physician.

Care Instructions:

• Hand wash in 40°C water separately from other items using a delicate detergent.
• Do not rub, wring, or bleach.
• Rinse thoroughly and air dry flat away from direct heat and sunlight.
• Do not iron or dry clean.
