Flaxseed Herb, 50g
Flaxseed herb (Linum usitatissimum) has a long history of traditional use for a variety of ailments. This 50g package provides a natural remedy known to offer potential relief from various conditions. Traditionally, flaxseed infusions (teas, decoctions, tinctures) have been used to address symptoms associated with: shortness of breath, edema, headaches, vertigo (with vomiting), bladder disorders, nocturnal enuresis, hemorrhoids, diathesis, anemia, cystitis, urolithiasis, ascariasis, early stages of benign prostatic hyperplasia, and gout. For hemorrhoids, flaxseed is often used both internally and externally, especially for hemorrhoidal nodules. The infusion also acts as a mild laxative, relieving constipation and bloating, and as an expectorant to soothe coughs. It’s traditionally used to improve gastrointestinal function, particularly bowel movements, reduce gas (meteorism), increase bile, urine, and sweat production, and address respiratory tract inflammation and conjunctivitis (for eye washes). Furthermore, gargling with a decoction is traditionally used for sore throats (angina), and warm infusions are applied as compresses for fungal infections, ringworm, scrofula, and jaundice.
