This reusable Esmarkh enema bag, made from natural rubber, is designed for bowel cleansing and gynecological procedures. Manufactured from a hypoallergenic material, it's available in three sizes: #1 (1L), #2 (1.5L), and #3 (2L). Each bag includes a tube, clamp, and both soft and hard nozzles. The Esmarkh rubber enema bag KR – "Alpha" conforms to TU 9398-037-00149535-2006 and is intended for sanitary and hygienic purposes (washing and douching). It is classified as Class 1 according to GOST 31508, based on potential risk of use.
The enema bag is a flat rubber reservoir with a neck and a lower spout connecting via a connector to a PVC tube. The tube is equipped with a shut-off device (valve and clamp) and a nozzle. Tubes meet the requirements of TU 9393-018-00149535-2003 and are made from PVC plastic grade T-35 or other materials approved by health authorities. Tube dimensions are: length (1400 ± 30) mm; inner diameter (9.0 ± 0.5) mm; wall thickness (1.5 ± 0.5) mm.
The bag is resistant to medicinal substances: the body must withstand 1% w/w aqueous solutions of acetic acid (GOST 61) and potassium permanganate (GOST 20490) at (70 ± 2) °C without deformation, cracking, or a tensile strength below 5.0 MPa. PVC tube weight change after 24 hours of exposure to 1% w/w acetic acid (GOST 61) at (20 ± 5) °C should not exceed 8%, and after exposure to 1% w/w potassium permanganate (GOST 20490) should not exceed 2%.
The bag withstands repeated disinfection with a 1% chloramine solution or a 3% hydrogen peroxide solution with 0.5% detergent (GOST 25644), or double wiping with a gauze swab (GOST 11109) soaked in the same disinfectant solution and wrung out, with 15-minute intervals between wipes. After 50 disinfection cycles, the bag should show no deformation or visible cracking. Nozzles withstand disinfection, pre-sterilization cleaning, and sterilization according to MU 287-113.
Store in its packaging in a dry warehouse according to storage conditions group 2 (GOST 15150) at 0 to +25 °C and relative humidity not exceeding 80%, at least 1m from heating appliances and protected from direct sunlight. Avoid contact with oils, solvents, acids, alkalis, and other substances that could damage the rubber and PVC.
