What is Drotaverine Solution?
Drotaverine Solution is a prescription medication containing drotaverine hydrochloride, a potent antispasmodic agent that works by relaxing smooth muscles throughout the body. It is primarily used to treat painful spasms associated with conditions affecting the biliary tract and urinary tract.
Key Features:
- Fast and Complete Absorption: Drotaverine is rapidly absorbed following intravenous or intramuscular administration, ensuring quick relief from spasms.
- Potent Antispasmodic Action: Drotaverine effectively relaxes smooth muscles by inhibiting PDE IV, leading to increased cAMP levels and ultimately muscle relaxation.
- Convenient Ampoules: Each pack contains 10 ampoules, each containing 2ml of solution, making it easy to administer.
- Dosage Flexibility: Drotaverine Solution can be administered intravenously or intramuscularly, allowing for flexible treatment options based on individual needs.
