White Compression Stockings, Compression Class 2, 2 Pairs
Description:
These anti-embolic compression stockings (23-32 mmHg, Class 2 compression) are prescribed by physicians for the treatment and prevention of various venous conditions. They provide therapeutic benefits for:
- Varicose veins: Including those experienced during pregnancy.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) prevention: Helps mitigate the risk of acute thrombophlebitis.
- Venous insufficiency: Reduces symptoms of chronic venous insufficiency.
- Edema and lymphostasis: Minimizes swelling and improves lymphatic drainage.
- Leg pain relief: Offers comfort and reduces discomfort associated with venous issues.
- Post-phlebectomy therapy: Supports healing and recovery after vein treatments.
- Spider veins: Improves the appearance and reduces the visibility of spider veins.
These medical-grade stockings improve circulation through graduated compression: 100% at the ankle, 70% below the knee, and 40% at the upper thigh. This targeted compression promotes lymphatic drainage, enhancing blood flow to the deep veins, preventing venous stasis and thrombus formation, reducing swelling, and improving tissue nutrition. The stockings feature a comfortable, soft silicone band at the top for superior fit and hold.
Proper Sizing is Crucial:
Accurate measurements are essential for optimal therapeutic effect and comfort. Measure your legs in the morning before swelling occurs, using the following guidelines:
- cB: Calf circumference above the ankles (narrowest part)
- cC: Widest part of the calf
- cD: Calf circumference 2 cm below the kneecap
- cF: Mid-thigh circumference
- cG: Thigh circumference 5 cm below the groin
A detailed size chart (link to size chart – *this would be added here if available*) will assist you in selecting the correct size. Larger sizes are ineffective; smaller sizes cause discomfort.
Wearing Instructions:
Wear stockings daily, removing them at night. Put them on in the morning, or after resting for 15 minutes with your legs elevated at a 30-45 degree angle. Turn the stocking inside out to the heel, place your foot in, and gently pull it up without stretching. Use rubber gloves to avoid snags. If your skin is moist, apply talcum powder.
Care Instructions:
Hand wash in lukewarm water (30°C) with a mild detergent. Do not machine wash, wring, bleach, iron, or dry clean. Air dry flat away from heat.
Contraindications:
These stockings are not suitable for individuals with: decompensated cardiopulmonary insufficiency, chronic occlusive arterial disease of the lower extremities with low regional systolic pressure, severe diabetic polyneuropathy and angiopathy, septic phlebitis, acute soft tissue infection, or non-venous etiology trophic ulcers.
