Application Instructions:
These socks can be used in medical facilities and at home. Size is determined by measurement (using a tape measure without pulling) according to the size chart. Apply directly to the skin. Before use, ensure hand hygiene (or use gloves), and remove jewelry that could damage the skin or the socks. Apply in the morning and remove in the evening, unless otherwise advised by a doctor. Discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional if discomfort occurs.
How to Put On:
By Hand:
- Hold the sock with the front facing you.
- Insert your hand to the heel area, gripping the heel from the inside.
- Turn the sock inside out only to the heel, smoothing it out (forming a funnel).
- Turn the heel towards you.
- Insert two thumbs inside the inverted sock, stretching it as wide as possible, pulling it up to the midfoot.
- Pull up the heel area of the sock, aligning it with your heel, and secure it in place.
- Grasp approximately 3-5 cm of the sock.
- Pull the heel area onto your heel.
- In sections (approximately 5 cm each), grasping the sock, stretch and smooth it onto your leg.
- Gently smooth the sock to avoid wrinkles.
Using a Butler Sock Aid:
A sock aid assists elderly, immobile, or weakened patients.
- Place the sock aid on the floor in front of you, with the arc closer to you.
- Hold the sock in both hands, with the heel facing you.
- Pull the sock onto the sock aid up to the heel.
- Insert your foot into the sock so your foot rests on the floor.
- Pull the sock aid upwards by the handles to your knee.
- Remove the sock aid.
- Distribute the sock evenly on your leg.
- Smooth out any wrinkles.
How to Remove:
- Grasp the top of the sock and, while turning it inside out, pull it down to the knee, then to the ankle and toe.
- Do not pull on the elastic; grasp the knitted part of the sock.
Important Notes:
- If the sock is not sufficiently stretched on the leg, do not pull it up by the top; lower it and stretch it again in sections, but more firmly.
- Gloves are recommended during application.
- Do not apply cream or ointment to the area where the silicone band adheres.
- Do not cut off loose threads or labels to avoid unraveling the knots formed during the knitting process.
