Bidens tripartite herb boasts diaphoretic, diuretic, choleretic, sedative, and bactericidal properties, while also normalizing metabolism and improving appetite. Internally (as a tea or decoction), it’s used for liver and spleen disorders, diabetes, digestive issues, bronchitis, and urinary tract infections. Externally (baths, washes, compresses), it treats rickets, gout, arthritis, exudative diathesis, acne, pimples, and boils. Powdered or crushed fresh leaves are applied to infected wounds and ulcers. It’s also used as a hair rinse for seborrheic dermatitis.
