Coletex-CXG-1 Dressing with Chlorhexidine and Sodium Alginate: 6x10cm
Product Description:
Coletex with Chlorhexidine dressing combines the antiseptic properties of chlorhexidine with a textile-biopolymer base. This unique combination provides bactericidal and wound-healing stimulation, fostering optimal wound healing conditions. Its breathable, absorbent, and atraumatic nature minimizes trauma and promotes a healthy healing environment.
Indications:
Coletex with Chlorhexidine is indicated for:
- Early-stage wound closure: Post-operative wounds, cuts, and fissures (in the initial phase of wound healing).
- Treatment of chronic wounds: Slow-healing, granulating wounds (including pressure ulcers, diaper rash, and trophic ulcers), particularly those with incomplete microbial clearance, preparing for secondary surgical treatment/autodermoplasty.
- Local treatment of purulent-inflammatory diseases: Parodontitis, stomatitis, opened abscesses, furuncles, and phlegmons.
The presence of small, moist necrotic foci does not hinder the application of Coletex with Chlorhexidine. Necrotic tissue is typically self-exfoliated after 1-3 dressing changes. Physiotherapeutic treatments such as laser therapy or photophoresis can be performed through the Coletex dressing.
Contraindications:
Coletex with Chlorhexidine is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to chlorhexidine or any components of the textile-biopolymer base.
Application:
Coletex with Chlorhexidine is a prolonged-release dressing that can remain in place for up to 48-72 hours, with changes every 1-3 days as needed (based on saturation with wound exudate).
Post-operative wounds, cuts, and fissures (initial phase):
Before applying Coletex with Chlorhexidine, treat the surrounding skin with an antiseptic solution. Open the sterile package with sterile scissors. Remove the dressing, moisten it with physiological saline solution, distilled water, or boiled water. Apply the medicated side to the wound, ensuring at least a 2-3 cm overlap beyond the wound edges. Cover with a gauze pad and secure with a bandage or adhesive tape. The dressing thickness shouldn’t exceed 1 cm.
Superficial purulent, chronic, slow-healing, granulating wounds (including pressure ulcers, diaper rash, and trophic ulcers):
After wound cleansing and antiseptic treatment of the surrounding skin, apply Coletex with Chlorhexidine as described above for post-operative wounds. Moistening with saline may be omitted if there is abundant wound exudate. Drying of the dressing compromises therapeutic activity and may cause discomfort. Reapply saline 1-2 times daily if the dressing dries, removing the outer layers.
Abscesses, phlegmons with cavities or fistulas, and acute odontogenic periostitis:
After surgical debridement and drainage of the purulent focus, insert polyamide drains wrapped with Coletex with Chlorhexidine (medicated side facing the wound) into the cavity. Change the dressing and drains daily for the first 5 days, or twice daily with significant exudate. Subsequent dressing changes are as needed, but the dressing should not remain in place for more than 2-3 days.
Storage:
Store in a dry, dark place at 5-40°C. Shelf life: 3 years. Do not use after the expiry date printed on the package. (List B medication – *Note: List B classification may vary by region and requires further clarification for accurate SEO*)
