- Decoction (for liver health): Simmer 2 tablespoons of dried root (or herb) in 2 cups of water for 30 minutes. After cooling, add 2 tablespoons of honey and 1 tablespoon of fruit vinegar. Drink ½ cup 4 times daily before meals.
