Celandine Herb, 50g
Description:
Celandine boasts potent topical anti-inflammatory and bactericidal properties. Its application alleviates or eliminates itching, promotes the healing of eroded skin surfaces, and reduces skin infiltration in affected areas. Celandine alkaloids possess diverse pharmacological actions. Chelidonine, for example, exhibits spasmolytic, analgesic, sedative, hypotensive, and bradycardic effects, slowing the pulse and lowering blood pressure.
For centuries, traditional medicine has utilized celandine herb, juice, and roots to treat psoriasis, eczema, scabies, cutaneous tuberculosis, slow-healing wounds, and lupus. The fresh milky sap is a common remedy for warts, calluses, dark spots, and benign tumors; it has even shown occasional success in treating skin cancer. Celandine tincture finds application in treating rheumatism, herpes, and various skin conditions.
Modern medicine in many countries primarily employs celandine herb infusions for liver and gallbladder disorders, and peptic ulcers. Preparations derived from the plant are also used to treat periodontitis, hypertrophic gingivitis, and certain eye conditions (including corneal opacities of various etiologies and conjunctivitis). Celandine infusions are also prescribed as a laxative, diuretic, analgesic, and diaphoretic.
