Application Instructions
How to Put On (By Hand)
- Ideally apply in the morning. Ensure nails are trimmed and rings removed.
- Sit on a bed or chair with your leg bent at the knee.
- Place the stocking inside-out.
- Insert your hand to the heel, grasp the heel with your fingers, and turn the stocking inside out only up to the heel, smoothing it out.
- Insert two thumbs inside the turned stocking, stretching it wide.
- Pull up by the heel, aligning it with your foot’s heel and stepping onto it.
- At mid-foot, create a small fold, firmly grasp it, and pull upwards toward the instep, stretching it wide while pressing against the heel. Wrap the stretched fabric around the heel and up to the ankle, smoothing as you go.
- Continue, section by section (about 5 cm at a time), stretching and smoothing the fabric until the stocking is fully positioned. Correct any heel misalignment.
How to Put On (Using a Donning Aid)
- Place the donning aid on the floor with the curve facing you.
- Hold the stocking with the heel towards you.
- Stretch the stocking onto the aid up to the heel.
- Insert your foot so your foot is flat on the floor.
- Pull the aid up to your knee.
- Remove the aid.
- Smooth the stocking onto your leg.
How to Remove
- Grasp the top of the stocking and carefully roll it down to the knee, then ankle, and finally the toe.
- Avoid pulling on the waistband; instead, grasp the knitted fabric.
Important Notes
- If the stocking is not sufficiently stretched, lower it and re-stretch it section by section, applying more force.
- It’s advisable to wear gloves while putting on the stockings.
- For knee-high stockings, do not wear them above the kneecap.
- For stockings with silicone bands, avoid applying creams or ointments to the areas where the silicone adheres.
- For tights and men’s compression hosiery, if the compression section is not adequately stretched, do not attempt to pull it up “like pants,” as this may damage the seams.
- Do not cut the loose threads or labels to prevent unraveling.
- Wear as recommended by your doctor; if no recommendation is given, it is recommended to wear them in the morning and remove them in the evening.
Care Instructions
