Relative Contraindications

- Any acute inflammatory process affecting vessel walls, phlebitis, and thrombophlebitis (inflammation narrows vessels, impairing blood supply; increased pressure can cause hypoxia, thrombi, ulcers, and necrosis)
- Skin diseases, open wounds, purulent infections, and allergic sensitivity to materials (fibers, Lycra, cotton, silicone)
