Astragalus Herb: Benefits, Uses, and How to Prepare
Astragalus, a medicinal herb steeped in ancient legend, boasts a rich history dating back to the Scythian tribes who revered it as a potent elixir for the nobility. Known as the “herb of immortality,” it was believed to alleviate serious ailments and restore vitality. Today, Astragalus continues to be prized for its wide-ranging effects on the human body, with both its root and herb offering significant therapeutic benefits.
Our Astragalus herb is meticulously harvested in July and August from the ecologically clean region of Mordovia in the Volga area. Gently dried under natural canopies, it retains its full potency. The herb consists of stems, leaves, and flowers, coarsely ground to particle sizes ranging from 1 to 5 cm. With a shelf life of 365 days from packaging, our Astragalus ensures consistent quality and effectiveness.
Preparation and Dosage
- To prepare an infusion: Add 3 teaspoons (1.5 g) or 1 tablespoon (4.5 g) of the herb to 1 cup (200 ml) of boiling water. Steep for 15 minutes, then strain.
- Adults should take 1/4 cup (50 ml) four times daily or 1/2 cup (100 ml) twice daily during meals.
- Store the prepared infusion in the refrigerator for no more than two days.
- Recommended course of treatment: 1 month. Repeat courses may be taken throughout the year.
