With extreme caution and under the supervision of a physician, Sidnopharm tablets are used in patients with: hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy, constrictive pericarditis and pericardial tamponade of the heart; with low blood pressure, for example, with acute myocardial infarction, with limited function of the left stomach (left ventricular failure); with aortic and / or mitral stenosis; with disorders of cerebral circulation; with increased intracranial pressure; after myocardial infarction; with glaucoma (especially angle-closure); with low blood pressure; old age. In case of impaired liver function, only with a pronounced decrease in it, it may be necessary to adjust the dose of the drug. A pharmacodynamic interaction between nitric oxide donors (eg, molsidomine) and ergot alkaloids (eg, nicergoline, dihydroergocristine, dihydroergotamine, dihydroergocriptine) is possible. This may lead to an antagonistic effect between the two active ingredients. Therefore, the simultaneous use of the drug Sydnopharm and ergot alkaloids should be avoided. Interactions with other medicinal products Please tell your doctor if you have recently taken, are taking or plan to take any other medicines, including those obtained without a prescription. Your doctor may recommend that you stop taking some medicines or change your regimen. There is an increased risk of a significant decrease in blood pressure while taking the drug Sidnopharm: with antihypertensive drugs; peripheral vasodilators, blockers of “slow” calcium channels (BCCC) and ethanol; with inhibitors of phosphodiesterase 5 (PDE 5), such as sildenafil, tadalafil, vardenafil; with soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC) agonists (eg, riociguat). A pharmacodynamic interaction between Sydnopharm and ergot alkaloids is possible. It is unacceptable to drink alcohol during treatment with the drug! It is possible to use the drug Sidnopharm simultaneously with beta-blockers (atenolol, propranolol), nitrates and calcium ion antagonists (nifedipine, verapamil). With simultaneous use with acetylsalicylic acid, its antiplatelet activity is enhanced. Pregnancy and breastfeedingSydnopharm should not be used during pregnancy. Pregnant women can use Sidnopharm tablets only if the treatment is prescribed by a doctor and is under control. The use of the drug during lactation is not recommended. If treatment is necessary, breastfeeding should be discontinued. Driving vehicles and working with mechanisms During the period of treatment (especially at the beginning), it is necessary to refrain from driving vehicles and engaging in potentially hazardous activities that require increased concentration and speed of psychomotor reactions. Special instructions The drug Sidnopharm tablets contains 0.06 g of lactose. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, talk to your doctor before taking this medicine. Wheat starch may contain gluten, but only in small amounts, and is unlikely to cause a problem in people with celiac disease. This medicinal product should not be used in patients with wheat allergy (other than celiac disease). Dye E 110, which is contained in the preparation, can cause allergic reactions. How to use Sidnopharm tablets Use strictly according to the doctor’s prescription in order to avoid complications. Sydnopharm tablets are taken whole at regular intervals with a sufficient amount of liquid (about 1/2 cup). Tablets can be taken before, during or after meals. Sidnopharm tablets are prescribed 1 tablet 2-3 times a day. In some cases, it is sufficient to take 1/2 tablet 2 times a day. In severe cases or under physical or psychological stress, it may be necessary to take 1-2 tablets 3 times a day. If necessary, in cases of insufficient severity of the therapeutic effect, the dose can be increased to 2 tablets (4 mg) 4 times a day (corresponding to 16 mg of molsidomine per day). Children Sydnopharm is not intended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age. If you have taken a dose of Sydnopharm in excess of the required dose. An overdose of the drug Sydnopharm can cause a decrease in systolic and diastolic blood pressure: severe headache, dizziness, weakness, nausea, vomiting, lowering blood pressure (blackout, dizziness, collapse). At the same time, bradycardia may occur, which can lead to reversible AV blockade of varying degrees. If you have any of the above signs, you should immediately stop taking the drug and immediately consult a doctor or the nearest medical institution. If you miss a dose of Sydnopharm If you miss one dose, take it as soon as possible. If it’s time for the next dose, take it as usual, skipping the forgotten dose. Side effects Like all medicines, Sydnopharm can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them. In rare cases, there are disorders of the gastrointestinal tract: nausea, loss of appetite, diarrhea; dizziness, fatigue, slow psychomotor and motor reactions (mostly at the beginning of treatment). In rare cases, there are allergic manifestations: itching, skin rash, bronchospasm, and in very rare cases, anaphylactic shock may occur. There are reports with an unknown frequency of a decrease in the number of platelets. In the event of adverse reactions, including those not listed in the instructions for medical use, patients should consult their doctor. Storage conditions In the original packaging in a place protected from moisture and light at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C. Keep out of the reach of children. Shelf life Shelf life is 3 years. The medicinal product should not be used after the expiry date stated on the packaging. Medicines should not be disposed of in the sewer or in the household waste container.
