Name:
Rutascorbin tab 50mg/50mg №50
Description:
Light greenish-yellow color tablets with slight inclusions, flat-cylindrical, scored on one side and chamfered. The main active ingredient is Ascorbic acid + rutoside Release form Tablets Dosage 50 mg / 50 mg Pharmacological action Rutascorbin is a combined preparation consisting of 2 components. Rutin is a natural bioflavonoid with antioxidant and vasoprotective properties. Rutin reduces the effect of endogenous vasoconstrictors, which can cause local swelling and inflammation. Rutin promotes the conversion of ascorbic acid into dehydroascorbic acid and prevents further transformation of the latter into diketogulonic acid, increases the absorption of vitamin C in the intestine, reduces capillary permeability (by inactivating hyaluronidase), strengthens the vascular wall as a result of inhibition of non-enzymatic oxidation of membrane phospholipids. Vitamin C is involved in various metabolic processes. Ascorbic acid supports immunity, has antioxidant properties, and plays an important role in regulating the redox balance. Vitamin C is used in many processes and reactions: lipid metabolism, synthesis of collagen and other connective tissue proteins, metabolism of aromatic amino acids, conversion of folic acid to folinic acid, tyrosine metabolism. The neutralization of free radicals with vitamin C, combined with the reduction of capillary permeability and increased absorption with rutin, is especially important for the prevention and treatment of viral infections. Indications for use Replenishment of ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and rutin deficiency when the need for them cannot be met by an appropriate diet. In the complex therapy of diseases accompanied by impaired vascular permeability: varicose veins, trophic disorders and skin ulcers, chronic venous insufficiency, hemorrhagic diathesis. Dosing and Administration Inside, 1 tablet 2-3 times a day during or after meals. The course of treatment is 2-3 weeks. Patients with impaired renal function: the drug is contraindicated in severe renal insufficiency; with mild and moderate dysfunction – with caution. Patients with impaired liver function: with caution. Elderly patients: There are no data on the need for dose adjustment. The possibility of age-related decline in kidney function should be taken into account. If you miss the next dose, you should take it as soon as possible. If the time for the next dose has come, you do not need to take a double dose to make up for the forgotten one, just continue further taking Rutascorbin, take tablets according to the recommended regimen, taking into account kidney function. Application during pregnancy and lactation During pregnancy, Rutascorbin is used only after consulting a doctor. The drug is contraindicated in the first trimester of pregnancy. In the II-III trimesters of pregnancy or during lactation, the drug is prescribed taking into account the benefit / risk ratio for the woman and the fetus / child, subject to strict adherence to the recommended doses and duration of treatment. Studies on the safety of the use of Rutascorbin during pregnancy have not been conducted. According to the available clinical data on the use of rutin and vitamin C in the form of separate drugs by pregnant women, no significant risks to the fetus have been identified. However, there have been no adequate and well-controlled clinical studies of the use of combined preparations containing vitamin C and rutin in pregnant women, which would make it possible to consider their use during pregnancy safe. There are no reports of rutin embryotoxicity or its passage into breast milk. Vitamin C is excreted in milk during lactation, however, even doses 10 times the recommended daily dose do not lead to a significant increase in its concentration in breast milk. Precautions Patients with rare hereditary fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrase-isomaltase deficiency should not take this drug. The simultaneous use of the drug with an alkaline drink, the use of fresh fruit or vegetable juices reduces the absorption of vitamin C. Rutascorbin can change the results of laboratory tests for blood bilirubin levels, transaminase activity. Interaction with other drugs Simultaneous use of ascorbic acid and antacids containing aluminum may increase the excretion of aluminum in the urine. Therefore, the simultaneous use of antacids and ascorbic acid is not recommended, especially in patients with renal insufficiency. The combined use of ascorbic acid with barbiturates or primidone may increase the excretion of ascorbic acid in the urine. The combined use of vitamin C with cellulose sodium phosphate can lead to the metabolism of ascorbic acid to oxalates. The simultaneous use of deferoxamine with ascorbic acid enhances the toxic effect of iron on tissues, especially the heart. Cases of cardiomyopathy and congestive heart failure have been reported in patients with idiopathic hemochromatosis and thalassemia treated with deferoxamine who subsequently received ascorbic acid. In these patients, ascorbic acid should be used with caution and cardiac function should be monitored. The simultaneous use of disulfiram with ascorbic acid, especially in the case of long-term use or use in high doses, may disrupt the interaction of disulfiram and alcohol. Pronounced acidification of urine as a result of the use of large doses of ascorbic acid can accelerate the renal excretion of mexiletin with simultaneous administration. The simultaneous use of salicylates with ascorbic acid may increase the excretion of ascorbic acid in the urine. Ascorbic acid can distort the results of biochemical determinations of creatinine, uric acid and glucose in blood and urine samples. Simultaneous use of the drug with acetylsalicylic acid, oral contraceptives, alkaline drinking, drinking fresh fruit or vegetable juices reduces the absorption of vitamin C. Vitamin C increases the absorption of metal ions, mainly iron from the gastrointestinal tract, penicillin; reduces the therapeutic effect of heparin, indirect anticoagulants, sulfa drugs, antibiotics from the aminoglycoside group. With the simultaneous use of low doses of vitamin C and B vitamins, there is a mutual enhancement of the therapeutic effect. The drug may increase the side effects of acetylsalicylic acid (negative effect on the gastric mucosa, risk of developing crystalluria), benzylpenicillin, ethinyl estradiol, tetracycline. With prolonged use (more than 4 weeks), the drug should not be administered simultaneously with cardiac glycosides, antihypertensive agents or NSAIDs, as it may enhance their effect. Therapeutic doses of ascorbic acid (vitamin C) may produce false positive results in urine tests for sugar and false negative results in stool tests for occult blood. Contraindications Immune system disorders: allergic reactions. Gastrointestinal disorders: dyspeptic disorders. Nervous system disorders: headache. Ascorbic acid can cause hemolytic anemia in some individuals with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency. In the event of the above adverse reactions or adverse reactions not listed in these instructions for medical use of the drug, you should consult a doctor. Composition Each tablet contains: active ingredients: ascorbic acid – 50 mg, rutoside trihydrate (rutin) – 50 mg; auxiliary components: white sugar, calcium stearate (E-470), talc (E-553b), potato starch. Overdose The use of excessive doses of the drug can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache. High doses of vitamin C can lead to flushing or flushing of the skin, increased urination, stomach cramps and back pain, and oxalate kidney stones in susceptible individuals and in those with renal insufficiency. Treatment: symptomatic, forced diuresis. Ascorbic acid is removed by dialysis. Side effect Immune system disorders: allergic reactions.
