Description:
Transparent, colorless or slightly yellowish solution. The main active ingredient Cromoglycic acid Release formSolution (eye drops) in a white plastic dropper bottle (low-density polyethylene) with a capacity of 5 or 10 ml. The vials are sealed with a plastic stopper-dropper (high density polyethylene) with a screw cap. Each bottle is packed in a cardboard box along with instructions for use. Dosage 4% 5 ml Special instructionsContact lenses: Lecrolin® eye drops contain benzalkonium chloride as a preservative and should not be used while wearing contact lenses. Before instillation of eye drops, contact lenses should be removed and reinserted no earlier than 15 minutes after using the drug. Influence on the ability to control Pharmacological action Antiallergic agent; has a membrane-stabilizing effect, prevents the degranulation of mast cells and the release of histamine, bradykinin, leukotrienes (including slowly reacting substances) and other biologically active substances from them. Most effective when used prophylactically. The full clinical effect in allergic diseases is achieved after a few days or weeks of drug treatment. Indications for use allergic conjunctivitis; allergic keratitis; keratoconjunctivitis; irritation of the mucous membrane of the eye due to allergic reactions (environmental factors, occupational hazards, household chemicals, cosmetics, ophthalmic preparations, plant pollen and pet dander). Method of application and doses Adults and children older than 4 years: Lecrolin® 20 mg/ml: 1-2 drops in each conjunctival sac 4 times a day. Lecrolin® 40 mg/ml: 1-2 drops in each conjunctival sac 2 times a day. Children under 4 years of age: By prescription only. For seasonal allergic conjunctivitis, treatment should be started immediately after the first symptoms appear or used prophylactically before the start of the flowering season. Treatment is continued throughout the flowering season or longer if symptoms persist. Before instillation of eye drops: Wash your hands thoroughly. Take a comfortable position (sit down, lie on your back, stand in front of a mirror). Application of eye drops: Open the bottle. To avoid contamination of the contents of the bottle – do not touch the tip of the bottle to the eyelids, eyelashes and do not touch it with your hands. Tilt your head back. Place the bottle over the eye (fig. 1). Pull the lower eyelid down, look up and, while slightly squeezing the bottle, drip eye drops into the eye (fig. 2). Close the eye, lightly press its inner corner with your finger for 1 minute. This will help you avoid getting eye drops into the nasolacrimal duct, increase their effectiveness and reduce the risk of adverse systemic effects (Fig. 3). Close the vial tightly. Side effects When applied topically, sodium cromoglycate is generally well tolerated and symptoms of eye irritation are rare. General (>1/100): Short-term burning sensation, local eye irritation and transient blurred vision. Very rare (<1/10000): Allergic reactions. Use during pregnancy and lactation The drug should be used with caution during pregnancy and lactation. Interactions with other drugs No adverse interactions of sodium cromoglycate with other medicinal products have been reported previously. Influence on the ability to drive a car and mechanical devices Patients who develop short-term blurred vision after application of the drug should not drive a car and work with complex machinery, machines or any other complex equipment that requires sharp vision immediately after applying eye drops. The bottle must be closed after each use. Do not touch the eyes with the tip of the pipette. Contraindications Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Composition 1 ml of solution contains: Active substance: Sodium cromoglycate - 20 mg, 40 mg. Excipients: Benzalkonium chloride, glycerin, polyvinyl alcohol, disodium edetate, water for injection. Overdose Animal studies show that the local and systemic toxicity of sodium cromoglycate is very low. When used locally, overdose symptoms are unlikely. If overdose symptoms are nevertheless noted, symptomatic treatment should be carried out if necessary. Storage conditionsKeep at a temperature of +15…+25°С out of the reach of children.
