Name Ibuprofen CAPS caps. Main active ingredient Ibuprofen Dosage 200 mg Indications for use IBUPROFEN CAPS is used to relieve migraine headache, toothache, back pain, neuralgia, painful menstruation, rheumatic and muscle pain. IBUPROFEN CAPS has an analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic effect, relieves the symptoms of colds and flu. Dosage and administration IBUPROFEN CAPS is prescribed for adults and children over 12 years of age. The drug is intended for short-term use. Take orally, after meals, with a small amount of water. Take 1-2 capsules up to 3 times daily as needed, with a minimum interval of 4 hours between doses. Do not exceed 6 capsules in 24 hours. The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest time necessary to relieve symptoms. If adults need to take the drug for more than 10 days (children and adolescents from 12 to 18 years – more than 3 days) or if symptoms persist or worsen, stop treatment and consult a doctor. Use during pregnancy and lactation Pregnancy. Inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis may adversely affect the development of pregnancy and/or the embryo/fetus. Data from epidemiological studies indicate an increased risk of miscarriage, the development of heart defects and gastroschisis with the use of a prostaglandin synthesis inhibitor in early pregnancy. It is believed that an increase in risk provokes an increase in dosage and duration of treatment. In animal studies, it was found that taking the drug provoked an increase in the risk of pre- and post-implantation fetal death, as well as embryo-fetal mortality. In addition, there have been cases of various malformations, including malformations of the cardiovascular system. The use of the drug during the I and II trimesters is undesirable, but possible with caution. If ibuprofen is used by a woman planning a pregnancy, or by a woman in the first and second trimesters of pregnancy, then the lowest effective dose and the shortest duration of treatment should be chosen. All prostaglandin synthesis inhibitors when used during the third trimester of pregnancy can have the following effects: • on the fetus: – cardiopulmonary toxicity (with premature closure of the ductus arteriosus and the development of pulmonary hypertension), – impaired renal function, which can progress to renal failure with development oligohydramnios; • on the mother at the end of pregnancy and the newborn: – a possible increase in bleeding time, an antiplatelet effect that can occur even at very low doses, – inhibition of uterine contractions, leading to a delay or increase in the duration of labor. In connection with the above effects, the use of ibuprofen during the third trimester is contraindicated. Lactation. According to the results of a small number of studies, NSAIDs can pass into breast milk in very low concentrations. In view of the fact that there are still no reports of the harmful effects of ibuprofen on infants, stopping feeding during short-term treatment with ibuprofen at doses used in the treatment of pain and fever is not necessary. Contraindications – hypersensitivity to ibuprofen and other components of the drug; – a history of allergies in the form of bronchospasm, bronchial asthma, runny nose, angioedema or urticaria after taking acetylsalicylic acid or NSAIDs; – peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum or ulcer bleeding in the active phase or in history (two or more confirmed episodes of peptic ulcer or ulcer bleeding); – bleeding or perforation of the ulcer of the gastrointestinal tract in history, provoked by the use of NSAIDs; – hemorrhagic diathesis and other blood clotting disorders; – severe heart failure (class IV according to NYHA classification); – severe liver failure, severe renal failure (creatinine clearance < 30 ml / min); - pregnancy III trimester; - children's age up to 12 years. Composition One capsule contains ibuprofen - 200.0 mg. Excipients: macrogol 600, purified water *, potassium hydroxide ** * - is part of a 50% solution of potassium hydroxide. ** - used in the form of a 50% solution of potassium hydroxide. Not contained in the finished product, reacts to form the potassium salt of ibuprofen. The composition of the capsule shell: gelatin, non-crystallizing sorbitol solution, purified water, dye Charming Red E-129. Overdose In children, when taking more than 400 mg / kg, overdose symptoms may appear. In adults, the dose that can cause such symptoms has not been precisely determined. The half-life in case of overdose is 1.5-3 hours. Symptoms: nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain, rarely diarrhea, tinnitus, headache and gastrointestinal bleeding. In more severe cases, manifestations from the central nervous system are observed: drowsiness, rarely - agitation, convulsions, disorientation, coma. In cases of severe poisoning, metabolic acidosis may develop, prothrombin time may increase, which is probably due to interference with the action of circulating blood coagulation factors. Acute renal failure and liver damage may develop. In patients with bronchial asthma, an exacerbation of this disease is possible. Treatment: symptomatic, with the obligatory provision of airway patency, ECG monitoring and basic vital signs until the patient's condition returns to normal. Oral activated charcoal or gastric lavage is recommended for 1 hour after taking a potentially toxic dose of ibuprofen. If ibuprofen has already been absorbed, an alkaline drink may be given to eliminate the acidic ibuprofen derivative by the kidneys, forced diuresis. Frequent or prolonged convulsions should be stopped by intravenous administration of diazepam or lorazepam. With the aggravation of bronchial asthma, the use of bronchodilators is recommended. Side effects The following adverse reactions were noted with short-term use of ibuprofen at doses not exceeding 1200 mg / day (6 capsules). In the treatment of chronic conditions and with prolonged use, other adverse reactions may occur. The incidence of adverse reactions was assessed based on the following criteria: very often (≥1 / 10), often (from ≥1 / 100 to <1/10), infrequently (from ≥1 / 1000 to <1/100), rarely ( from ≥1 / 10,000 to <1/1000), very rarely (<1/10,000), the frequency is unknown (data on frequency estimates are not available). Storage conditions Store in a place protected from moisture and light at a temperature of 15 ° C to 25 ° C. Keep out of the reach of children.
