This drug is a venotonic (increases the tone of the veins) and an angioprotector (increases the resistance of small blood vessels). It is recommended for the treatment • of venous circulation disorders (heaviness in the legs, pain, restless leg syndrome in the morning) and • the treatment of symptoms associated with attacks of acute hemorrhoids. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the micronized purified flavonoid fraction or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. Be especially careful when taking Hemorrhoid attack: If the symptoms associated with hemorrhoids do not go away within 15 days, then you need to consult your doctor. Venous circulation disorders: Treatment is most effective when combined with a healthy lifestyle. • Avoid excessive sun exposure, heat, standing for long periods of time, being overweight • Walk wearing stockings to improve circulation if necessary. How to take Dosage Venous insufficiency: 2 film-coated tablets per day: 1 tablet in the afternoon and 1 tablet in the evening, with meals. Attack of hemorrhoids: 6 tablets per day for 4 days, then 4 tablets per day for 3 days, with meals. How to use The tablet is swallowed with a glass of water. Frequency of use At lunchtime and in the evening with meals. If you forget to take DETRALEX 500 mg film-coated tablets Do not double your next dose. If you have taken more DETRALEX tablets than you have been prescribed, contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately. Do not take DETRALEX after the expiry date which is stated on the package. When specifying the expiration date, the last day of the specified month is meant. Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Store in original outer packaging. Shelf life: 4 years Medicinal products must not be disposed of in wastewater or sewage.
