Name:
Artelak Night gel.
Description:
Artelak® Night is ideal for the long-term relief of dry eye symptoms caused by chronic tear film dysfunction. Chronic tear deficiency can be caused by a number of factors, including: inflammation and dysfunction of the meibomian glands, pathology of the eyelids and impaired sensitivity and / or changes in the composition of the lacrimal fluid. In addition, certain drugs and procedures (hormonal contraceptives, antihistamines, beta-blockers, antispasmodics, diuretics, eye surgery), certain diseases, and preservatives in some eye drops can play an important role in the development of dry eyes and corneal damage. Composition 1 g of the drug contains: Carbomer 2 mg. Excipients: medium chain triglycerides, cetrimide, sorbitol, sodium hydroxide, water for injections. The composition of the product is designed to help preserve all three layers of the tear film, incl. the outermost lipid layer: sterile water is used for hydration, carbomer retains moisture on the surface of the eye, triglycerides protect the lipid layer of the tear film, which forms a sheath to retain moisture. The gel has a high viscosity, which provides long-term protection of the surface of the eye. Artelac® Night has a soothing and softening effect on the eye, and at the same time prevents the evaporation of moisture, contributing to long-term relief of symptoms in people with suspected dry eye syndrome associated with increased tear evaporation, as well as for people who need extra strong protection. Artelak® Night is well tolerated, safe and easy to use. Since the product is available as a gel, most consumers prefer to use it in the evening before bed or in the morning immediately after waking up.
