Amoxicillin caps.500mg in box No. 10×1
Description:
Each capsule of Amoxicillin contains the active substance: 500 mg of amoxicillin (as amoxicillin trihydrate) and excipients: magnesium stearate, talc, brilliant blue E133, carmoisine E122, orange yellow E110, titanium dioxide , iron oxide yellow, gelatin. This drug belongs to the group of semi-synthetic penicillins, broad-spectrum antimicrobials for systemic use. Inhibits the growth of microorganisms that cause infections. The main active ingredient Amoxicillin Release form Hard gelatin capsules with a brownish-red cap and a yellow body, the inscription “AMOXI 500” for a dosage of 500 mg; filled with white powder or white with a slightly yellowish tint. Dosage 500 mg Indications for use Indicated for the treatment of infections caused by susceptible organisms. Infections of the lower respiratory tract (acute and chronic bronchitis, bronchopneumonia, lobar pneumonia); acute and chronic infections of the gastrointestinal tract, biliary tract (peritonitis, cholecystitis, intestinal infections); acute and chronic infections of the urinary system (pyelonephritis, urethritis, gonorrhea); purulent infections of soft tissues; sepsis; upper respiratory infections (tonsillitis, pharyngitis). Dosage and administration Capsules should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. Eating does not affect the absorption of amoxicillin. The duration of therapy is determined by the doctor and is usually 7-10 days (at least 2-3 days after the symptoms disappear). In the treatment of infections caused by beta-hemolytic streptococcus, the course of treatment is at least 10 days to prevent late complications (rheumatism, glomerulonephritis). Adults and children weighing 40 kg or more: The standard dose is 1,500 to 3,000 mg of amoxicillin per day, divided into 3 to 4 doses. It is possible to divide the daily dose into 2 doses (every 12 hours). In severe infections, the daily dose may be increased to 4 g – 6 g per day. Maximum recommended oral dose: 6 g per day. Treatment of severe or recurrent purulent infection of the respiratory tract: 3 g twice a day. Uncomplicated acute urinary tract infection: 3 g twice with an interval of 10-12 hours between doses. Renal impairment: Creatinine clearance> 30 ml / min – dose adjustment is not required. Creatinine clearance <30 ml / min - it is recommended to increase the interval between doses and reduce the total daily dose. Creatinine clearance 10-30 ml / min - 250 mg or 500 mg (maximum dose) 2 times a day (every 12 hours) depending on the severity of the infection. Creatinine clearance <10 ml / min - 250 mg or 500 mg (maximum dose) 1 time per day (every 24 hours) depending on the severity of the infection. Patients on hemodialysis - 250 mg or 500 mg (maximum dose) 1 time per day (every 24 hours) depending on the severity of the infection. During and at the end of dialysis, an additional dose is recommended. Children weighing less than 40 kg: The daily dose is 40 - 90 mg / kg / day, divided into 2 - 3 doses (not more than 3 g per day), depending on the indication, the severity of the infection and the characteristics of the pathogen. Dosing 3 times a day increases the effectiveness of therapy; dosing twice a day is recommended if the dose is at the upper end of the dose range. Impaired renal function in children: Creatinine clearance> 30 ml / min – dose adjustment is not required. Creatinine clearance 10-30 ml / min – the usual single dose, the interval between doses is 12 hours (corresponding to 2/3 of the usual daily dose). Creatinine clearance <10 ml / min - the usual single dose, the interval between doses is 24 hours (corresponding to 1/3 of the daily dose). Specific Dosage Recommendations: Tonsillitis 50 mg/kg/day. Impaired liver function: dose adjustment is not required. Elderly patients: dose adjustment is not required if renal function is preserved. Children under 6 years old: for this group of children, there is a more acceptable form of release - syrup. Use during pregnancy and lactation Amoxicillin can be used during pregnancy on prescription if the potential benefit to the woman outweighs the potential risk to the fetus associated with treatment. As directed by a doctor, Amoxicillin can be used during lactation with an appropriate risk-benefit assessment. Precautions: Allergic reactions, including life-threatening ones, may occur, especially with hypersensitivity to beta-lactam antibiotics. Before starting amoxicillin therapy, inform the doctor about past hypersensitivity to penicillins or cephalosporins. Antibiotic-associated colitis has been reported with virtually all antibiotics and can range in severity from mild to life-threatening. If diarrhea develops during or after the use of antibiotics, inform the doctor immediately. Stop using amoxicillin immediately! The use of drugs that inhibit intestinal motility is contraindicated. Erythematous (morbilliform) rashes have been reported in patients receiving amoxicillin and have been associated with glandular fever. Perhaps the development of microorganisms resistant to amoxicillin. Inform the doctor about the lack of effect of treatment. Appropriate adjustment of therapy is necessary. In patients with a reduced amount of urine output, in very rare cases, the appearance of crystals in the urine was observed. When taking high doses of amoxicillin, it is necessary to drink an adequate amount of fluid to ensure the excretion of the drug in the urine and prevent crystalluria. When taking amoxicillin, discoloration of the teeth is possible, which can be prevented by intensive oral hygiene: regular brushing during treatment. Prolongation of prothrombin time may be observed in patients receiving amoxicillin and oral anticoagulants. With the concomitant use of oral anticoagulants, appropriate laboratory monitoring is necessary, and their dosage may need to be adjusted. High concentrations of amoxicillin give a false positive reaction when determining urine glucose using chemical tests. If it is necessary to determine glucose in the urine, inform the doctor to choose another test method. When using amoxicillin in pregnant women, a transient decrease in the concentration of total conjugated estriol, estriol-glucuronide, conjugated estrion and estradiol in the urine was observed. While taking amoxicillin, the determination of urobilinogen may be impaired. The composition of the drug includes excipients and dyes that can cause allergic reactions. Interaction with other drugs Probenitsid, phenylbutazone, oxifenbutazone, acetylsalicylic acid, sulfinpyrazone. Suppress the excretion of penicillin drugs, the concentration of amoxicillin in the blood increases. Other bacteriostatic antibacterial agents. Amoxicillin is not prescribed simultaneously with antimicrobials that act bacteriostatically. Amoxicillin can be used in combination with other bactericidal antibiotics (cephalosporins, aminoglycosides). Methotrexate. Penicillins reduce the excretion of methotrexate, which increases its potential toxicity. Allopurinol. Simultaneous use with amoxicillin may contribute to the development of allergic skin reactions. Diuretics. Accelerate the excretion of amoxicillin and reduce the concentration of the drug in the blood. Oral anticoagulants. Drug interactions have not been identified. In the literature, there is a description of cases of an increase in the international normalized ratio (INR) when taken together. Hormonal contraceptives. It is possible to reduce the contraceptive effect when taking amoxicillin. Additional methods of contraception are recommended during the treatment period. Digoxin. Possible malabsorption of digoxin. Contraindications hypersensitivity to amoxicillin or excipients that make up this drug, other beta-lactam antibiotics; infectious mononucleosis and leukemoid reactions of the lymphatic type. Composition Each tablet of Amoxicillinan contains the active substance: 500 mg of amoxicillin (as amoxicillin trihydrate) and excipients: magnesium stearate, talc, brilliant blue E133, carmoisine E122, orange yellow E110, titanium dioxide, yellow iron oxide, gelatin. This drug belongs to the group of semi-synthetic penicillins, broad-spectrum antimicrobials for systemic use. Inhibits the growth of microorganisms that cause infections. Overdose If the number of capsules per day that you have taken exceeds the amount recommended by your doctor, or your child has swallowed the capsules, consult a doctor or call an ambulance! Stop taking the medicine! Overdose can be manifested by nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and water and electrolyte imbalance. Convulsions may develop in patients with impaired renal function or when taking large doses. Control of blood pressure, heart rate. Gastric lavage and antacids are recommended as first aid.
