Release form Tablets Pharmacological action Choleretic (cholekinetic and choleretic) agent, reduces the processes of putrefaction and fermentation in the intestine. It enhances the secretory function of liver cells, reflexively increases the secretory and motor activity of the organs of the gastrointestinal tract. Indications for use As part of the complex therapy of chronic cholecystitis, chronic cholangitis, dyskinesia of the gallbladder and biliary tract, postcholecystectomy syndrome, atonic constipation. Dosage and administration The drug is used orally after meals. Adults are recommended to take 1-2 tablets 3-4 times a day for 3-4 weeks, if it is necessary to continue treatment, then – 1 tablet 2-3 times a day for 1-2 months. If necessary, according to the doctor’s prescription, the course of treatment can be repeated 2-3 times with a break of 3 months. Use during pregnancy and lactation Use during pregnancy and lactation. Data on the safety of use during pregnancy and lactation are not available. Allochol promotes better absorption of fat-soluble vitamins. In patients taking warfarin, the consumption of garlic, which is part of the drug, may increase the duration of bleeding. Contraindications Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, acute hepatitis, cholelithiasis, obstructive jaundice, spasm of the sphincter of Oddi, acute pancreatitis, gastric and duodenal ulcers in the acute stage, acute enterocolitis. Each tablet contains: active substances: dry bile – 80 mg, dried garlic – 40 mg, nettle leaves – 5 mg, activated charcoal – 25 mg; excipients: heavy magnesium oxide, potato starch, talc, anhydrous colloidal silicon dioxide, calcium stearate; shell: white sugar, basic light magnesium carbonate, colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide, titanium dioxide, copovidone, quinoline yellow E-104, orange yellow E-110, beeswax. Overdosage When deliberately taking the drug in high doses, or with prolonged use at a dose exceeding the maximum daily dose, the following symptoms are possible: diarrhea, nausea, pruritus, increased levels of transaminases in the blood. Treatment: drug withdrawal, symptomatic therapy, there is no specific antidote. Side effect Diarrhea, allergic reactions.
