Diamond Dental Burs TR-13C (ISO 199-018C) for Turbine Handpieces
Diamond dental burs, specifically the TR-13C (ISO 199-018C), are designed for use with turbine handpieces in various dental procedures. These high-performance burs feature a diamond-coated cutting surface for efficient and precise preparation of enamel, composite resin, and glass ionomer cement restorations. They are particularly useful for gaining endodontic access.
Features and Specifications
These dental burs are precision-engineered instruments with a durable stainless steel shank and a working end of varying geometric shapes, depending on the specific application. The diamond coating ensures a sharp, long-lasting cutting edge.
Indications for Use
These diamond burs are indicated for use in the preparation of enamel, composite and glass ionomer restorations, and for creating access points for endodontic procedures. It’s important to note that these burs are less suitable for dentin preparation, as the spaces between the diamond particles can quickly become clogged with organic dentin material, reducing cutting efficiency.
Contraindications
Do not use this product on patients with known allergies to any of its components.
Precautions and Instructions for Use
This instrument is intended for professional dental use only. Strict adherence to aseptic techniques is crucial. Sterilization is mandatory between each patient use.
Sterilization Procedure
1. Pre-Sterilization
After use, immediately immerse the bur in a suitable disinfectant solution to prevent the adhesion of debris. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions regarding dilution ratios and immersion times. Avoid using phenolic disinfectants. Rinse thoroughly with running water and inspect for any remaining organic residue. Repeat the pre-sterilization process if necessary. Thoroughly dry the bur.
2. Autoclaving
- 121°C (249.8°F) for 20 minutes or more.
- 126°C (258.8°F) for 15 minutes or more.
