Description:

YuZhFarm’s Chlorhexidine Bigluconate 0.05% is a ready-to-use antiseptic solution. This clear or slightly opalescent, colorless to light yellow liquid is virtually odorless or has a very faint scent. It’s classified as low-hazard (Class 4) according to acute toxicity parameters for dermal, oral, and inhalation routes. Per Sidorova K.K. classification, it’s practically non-toxic (Class 5) via parenteral administration. No skin absorption or sensitization has been observed under recommended usage. Mild eye irritation may occur. The workplace air concentration limit (MAC) for chlorhexidine bigluconate is 1 mg/m³.

Applications:

This solution is suitable for use in healthcare and various other settings, including:

• Healthcare Professionals: Hand hygiene, including emergency medical services personnel.
• Surgical Antisepsis: Skin disinfection of injection sites; pre-operative hand and glove disinfection (for chemical-resistant gloves); decontamination during procedures involving potentially infected material (e.g., microbiology labs). Disinfection of medical waste (classes B and C).
• General Disinfection: Disinfection of small, simple instruments; prophylactic use via irrigation, rinsing, and topical application to skin and mucous membranes.

Contraindications:

While skin absorption and sensitization are not observed under recommended use, mild eye irritation is possible.

Usage Instructions:

• Hand Hygiene: Apply 3ml to hands and rub until dry (30 seconds).
• Injection Site Preparation: Disinfect with a sterile cotton swab or spray until fully saturated; leave for 30 seconds.
• Foot and Skin Care: Thoroughly treat each foot or affected area with separate cotton swabs saturated with the solution, ensuring complete skin saturation; leave for at least 30 seconds.
• Glove Disinfection: Thoroughly wipe the exterior of gloves with a sterile, saturated cotton swab for at least 1 minute until dry.
• Instrument Disinfection: Completely immerse small, simple instruments immediately after use in a solution layer at least 1cm deep. After a 5-minute disinfection period, rinse with running potable water for at least 1 minute.
• Prophylactic Use (Irrigation, Rinsing, Application): Apply 5-10ml to the affected area 2-3 times daily for 1-3 minutes (using a swab or spray).

Precautions:

For external use only. Do not use after the expiration date. If accidentally ingested, drink several glasses of water with an adsorbent (e.g., 10-15 crushed activated charcoal tablets per glass of water). Do not induce vomiting. Seek medical attention if necessary.
