Tuberous Woundwort (Phlomis tuberosa) offers beneficial effects on the digestive and bronchopulmonary systems. It aids digestion, and may be helpful for gastritis, ulcers, and diarrhea. It helps reduce fever, stimulates bile production and flow, and supports liver function. Traditionally used in herbal blends for tuberculosis, pneumonia, and bronchitis, it also exhibits hemostatic, wound-healing, and vasoconstricting properties, and can alleviate dyspnea. Add Tuberous Woundwort to tea during colds or as a preventative measure against respiratory illnesses after chilling or during flu season. Ingredients:
Dried, finely ground Tuberous Woundwort.
Directions:
Steep 0.5 tsp in 1 cup of boiling water for 15 minutes. Strain and divide into two daily servings. Drink during meals. Recommended course: 1 month.
