Scientific literature demonstrates that the anti-inflammatory activity of extracts from dried burdock root is considerably weaker than that of fresh root juice. Therefore, Visterra uses only fresh burdock root.

Visterra is the sole company in Russia processing fresh May-harvested burdock root, avoiding drying or prolonged storage. Our facility is located directly at the harvest and cultivation site. All burdock root is processed fresh during May, resulting in a thick extract with a 60-65% dry matter concentration. This extract is stored long-term in refrigerated chambers. As needed, it’s carefully dried using low-temperature vacuum-pulse technology and encapsulated. The packaging clearly displays the product’s packaging date.
