It also shows efficacy against pathogenic fungi and yeasts. While Staphylococcus aureus exhibits greater resistance, prolonged Iodinol application results in suppression in approximately 80% of cases. Pseudomonas aeruginosa remains largely resistant. The solution is characterized by low toxicity.

Indications:

Iodinol is indicated for the treatment of chronic tonsillitis, chronic suppurative otitis media, chronic atrophic rhinitis, chronic periodontitis, purulent wounds, trophic and varicose ulcers, and first and second-degree burns (thermal and chemical).

Contraindications:

Iodinol is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to its components, thyrotoxicosis, herpetiform dermatitis, pregnancy, lactation, and perforated eardrum. Use with caution in individuals under 18 years of age.
