Common Tansy Herbal Tea: Bactericidal, Cholagogue, Antiparasitic (100g)
Description: 100% Common Tansy (Tanacetum vulgare) flowers. Rich in essential oils, alkaloids, polysaccharides, flavonoids, vitamins, and tannins, including gallic and tanacetum acids, thujone, and significant manganese content. Known for its anthelmintic, bactericidal, and cholagogue properties, it stimulates appetite and promotes wound healing. Effective against ascariasis and enterobiasis (via micro-enema), and shows promise in treating giardiasis (oral administration). Traditionally used to support liver health (hepatitis, cholecystitis, hypoacid gastritis), improve biliary tract function (dyskenesia), regulate menstruation, combat nervous exhaustion, and soothe urinary tract inflammation (bladder and kidney). Tansy baths are also used for gout and rheumatism.
Preparation: Steep 1 tbsp of flowers in 1 cup boiling water in a thermos for 3 hours. Strain and consume 1 tbsp three times daily, 20 minutes before meals.
