Dosage:
- Each film-coated tablet contains 0.4mg of moxonidine.
Pharmacological Properties:

Indications:
- Arterial hypertension (high blood pressure)
Contraindications:
Stopcriz is not suitable for everyone. It is crucial to consult your doctor before taking Stopcriz, especially if you have any of the following conditions:
- Hypersensitivity to moxonidine or any excipients
- History of angioedema
- Sick sinus syndrome or sinoauricular blockade
- Atrioventricular blockade of the 2nd and 3rd degree
- Bradycardia (less than 50 beats/min at rest)
- Malignant arrhythmia
- Heart failure
- Severe ischemia of the heart or unstable angina
- Severe liver failure
- Chronic renal failure (CC 160 μmol/l)
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Children and adolescents under 18 years of age
Dosage and Administration:
- Adults (and the elderly): Start with the lowest dose (0.2mg) taken in the morning. Increase the dose to 0.4mg after three weeks if necessary, taken once (morning) or twice (morning and evening) until desired blood pressure control is achieved. The maximum daily dose is 0.6mg.
- Patients with renal insufficiency: The single dose should not exceed 0.2mg and the daily dose should not exceed 0.4mg for patients with moderate renal impairment (CC> 30 ml/min, but < 60 ml/min).
- Patients with hepatic impairment: Dosing is the same as for adult patients.
- Children: Stopcriz is not recommended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
Side Effects:
- Common: Dry mouth, dizziness, weakness, drowsiness, headache, back pain, sleep disorders
- Less common: Bradycardia, ringing in the ears, fainting, hypotension, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia, rash, itching, angioedema, asthenia, edema, pain in the neck, increased excitability
Overdose:
In case of accidental overdose, seek immediate medical attention.
Interaction with other drugs:
Stopcriz may interact with other medications, including antihypertensive drugs, tricyclic antidepressants, tranquilizers, alcohol, hypnotics, and sedatives.
Storage:
Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.
